BlueMetal Launches Managed Services

New practice will provide dedicated support to help clients achieve optimum results.

WATERTOWN, Mass., Feb. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — BlueMetal today announced a new Managed Services practice designed to better and more cost-effectively meet the day-to-day IT needs of the company's mid-market and enterprise clients. The practice will initially focus on support for the SharePoint and Office 365 platforms, with plans to expand to additional platforms and services across the Microsoft and Amazon Web Services stacks.

Many organizations are already leveraging BlueMetal's month-to month "CoPilot" managed services offerings. These organizations now have a dedicated resource on a weekly basis to ensure the health and stability of their SharePoint environments, while outsourcing some or all day-to-day IT responsibilities as a strategic way to improve operations and reduce costs.

"We're delighted to formalize BlueMetal's expansion as a managed services provider," said Donal Conlon, Practice Director for Managed Services at BlueMetal. "Our existing managed services clients in the Boston area, combined with strong demand in the New York and Chicago markets, fueled the need for this new practice. Our clients appreciate having a dedicated engineer to help them, as well as having access to the combined knowledge and experience of BlueMetal's team of expert consultants."

BlueMetal's managed services are available in three different CoPilot™ packages, with each package offering specialized service coverage. The offerings require no long-term contracts. Instead, BlueMetal allows its clients to pay only for the services they need – one month at a time – to successfully support their employees, whether they maintain a single office location or multiple locations. Working on-site with clients, BlueMetal's Managed Services engineers will monitor the health of the environment, manage software patches and updates, configure software as services are deployed and enhanced, manage user accounts, and provide guidance on platform adoption.
